The classic, homemade nice cream that we all know and love is with frozen bananas, flavoring, and a little almond milk. Although we love this, here are a few ideas you can use that think outside that banana-ice-cream-box!
We will start with a classic, banana-based ice cream from Priscilla Soler. She showed us how to add unique flavors like tahini and chocolate to her Tahini Cookie Dough Ice Cream recipe! She just added bits of cookie dough to her banana-coconut milk ice cream! You could add anything from cookies, chocolate, fresh fruit, or anything you like!
Sarah Aldrich showed us how to keep things super simple with her 4-Ingredient Strawberry Ice Cream that is literally just frozen strawberries, coconut milk, and sweeteners. You could easily swap in any other frozen fruit for different flavored ice cream! Super low in calories but still tastes just as good!
Rekka Bell used a similar technique with her 4-Ingredient Mango Ice Cream With Black Sesame Syrup recipe! She swaps out the coconut milk for water — essentially making it fat-free! If you prefer a lighter ice cream you could adapt this recipe to any fruit you like!
