Parents are fallible creatures. And while forgetting to put a baby bottle on the top rack of the dishwasher doesn’t have life or death consequences, forgetting to take baby out of the car can. Technology is lending itself to more and more solutions for preventing accidental hot car deaths. And a pair of dads is working to make that technology a little more accessible.
Meet Fadi Shamma and Jim Friedman, friends and fathers from Tampa, Florida, who created a device called Sense a Life. Sense a Life aims to remind parents that they have a backseat passenger, because when the day is particularly hectic, anyone can park the car and go on with their day, inadvertently forgetting about baby.
