It’s been 25 years since baseball coming-of-age classic The Sandlot hit theaters, and to celebrate the anniversary, the original stars of the film got together for an appearance on NBC’s The Today Show to reminisce, laugh, and actually hit some balls.
In 1993, The Sandlot quickly defined kids’ summers and became a cult favorite, transforming its young stars into baseball icons. “It’s been crazy. I mean, it definitely gets you in places for free,” Marty York, who played Yeah-Yeah, joked in a group interview. “I can’t walk through a Las Vegas casino without someone shouting, ‘Yeah-Yeah!’”
