What is Nesting?
Nesting is a combination of behaviors a mom-to-be displays while preparing for her new baby. Some of these behaviors could include:
- And any other behavior that would be ‘preparing’ the environment for the baby
Is Nesting Normal?
Evolution shows us that nesting is quite normal for most pregnant mammals. This behavior is about preparing an environment for a new baby and the more suitable environment the higher survival rate for the baby. This explains why moms-to-be unexplainably may feel the need to constant prepare the house or living space for their new child.
Is It Bad If I’m Not Nesting?
If you’re not feeling the need to nest, that’s completely normal too. Many moms-to-be may spend their pre-baby time doing things they enjoy such as exercising, cooking, or resting since they know they’re about to be very busy.
Whether you’re nesting or not enjoy your pregnancy and do what’s best for you, either way, you’re baby will be here soon and you will have plenty to do then!
